1) General Info
Thank you for your interest in Sacred Realm of Witches Coven! We hope that after you read over this page -- and the rest of the website -- you'll be able to decide whether or not you want to further explore possible membership with our coven.
Sacred Realm of Witches Coven is a Open coven -- Open means that membership is open to come in meetings that are called Open, all other meetings are closed meetings, and then by invitation only . This isn't a way to be elitist and exclusionary but it's a way to ensure membership candidates get the benefit interaction with and education about Sacred Realm of Witches Coven, our tradition and our members before committing to the coven. Beginning with Study Circle, we make an effort to get to know each candidate so we can be sure the candidate and the current members of Sacred Realm of Witches are compatible and that the philosophies of both are harmonious. This in no way is intended as a judgment of the worth or intent of candidates , it is simply a way to make sure everyone can blend together in harmony.
We look at our coven as a chosen family (among other things) -- our ties are deep, our work and study is serious and sometime can be a bit humorous at times. We value the strength brought by our deep relationships and commitment to each other, our coven and our shared vision of service, action and responsibility. To ensure we maintain our integrity as a group, all full coven members must agree on potential members before admittance. If even one full member has reservations, then the potential member is not admitted. Coven and Study Circle members are 18 and older, 16 with a parents, or guardians permission.
There are three levels of membership in Sacred Realm of Witches Coven:

2) Study Circle
Study Circle is the first step into potential membership in Sacred Realm of Witches Coven. It is a discussion /study group led by one or more full coven members, covering three books in three months via weekly meetings. Even if a candidate has already read any of the books studied, she or he will still be required to participate in all sessions as we use these books to contrast and illustrate the coven's philosophy -- a process that helps the participant more clearly define her or his personal philosophy and then to use that information to determine whether Sacred Realm of Witches Coven is the group of choice.
At the end of each Study Circle cycle, participants are invited to an individual meeting with key full coven members. At this meeting, further options will be reviewed. If progression to Seed Studies is not offered, further study or alternative groups will be recommended.
